OVER the next three days, Prohibition Partners LIVE features a packed programme of discussion and debate featuring some of the global cannabis industry’s most informed leaders and opinion-makers.
Proceedings will get underway at 12:00pm (BST) with a Pre-Event Networking Session where you can connect with and send contact requests to other attendees and schedule 1:1 private meetings within the platform.
This is also a special live Prohibition Partners Consulting Roundtable at 12:00pm (BST) on the Cannabis Europa stage. Chaired by Prohibition Partners’ consulting director, Barbara Pastori, it will home in on business and investment as firms seek the tools to navigate and prosper in the cannabis industry.
Prohibition Partners’ CEO Stephen Murphy will formally introduce the final day of the conference at 13.35pm (BST) with the first presentation of the afternoon immersing delegates in recent changes to cannabis legislation in Thailand which has seen leaves, stalks, stems and roots removed from the narcotics list – although recreational use is still illegal.

Back to the Future – Medical Cannabis and Traditional Medicine in Thailand, will take place on the Cannabis Oceania platform at 13:45pm (BST), and see an esteemed panel of speakers discussing the changes and the government’s promotion of research and development into the use of medical cannabis in traditional medicine.
Speakers Ishaan Shah (chairman of Linaria Chemicals and director GP Group), Nadon Chaichareon (founder and CEO of Teera Ventures), Dr Suchada Nilkumhang Wilkins (director of pharmaceutical research and development group at The Government Pharmaceutical Organization, Thailand), and Dr Pakakrong Kwankhao (head of the Centre for Evidence-based Thai Traditional and Herbal Medicine at Chao Phya Abhaibhubejhr hospital), will be getting to the bottom of what all this means for the unique future of cannabis in Thailand.
Join executive chairman and founder of Curaleaf, Boris Jordan, back on the Cannabis Europa stage at 2:30pm (BST) in a frank discussion with Financial Times reporter, Patricia Nilsson.
Curaleaf Across the Pond: Why Europe, Why Now? will see Ms Nilsson quizzing one of the global pioneers of the global cannabis industry about both his insights and strategy.
Following a Network Break and starting at 15:15pm (BST) on the Cannabis Americana rostrum, Fail Better: What Important Lessons Can We Learn From Those Who’ve Been There Before? will see Nick Tennant (founder and chief technical officer of Precision Extract Solutions), Cy Scott (co-founder and CEO of Headset), and Tiffany Kary (a reporter with Bloomberg News) delve into the wins and losses of those who have taken risks and overcome adversity.
The Investors Circle: Which Companies Are Set to Light Up the Market? will get underway on the ProCapital platform at 16:00pm (BST). An expert panel of analysts and investors (Thomas Carroll, senior analyst at Stransberry Research, Matt Karnes, founder GreenWave Advisors LLC, and Sam Volkering, editor and investment director at Southbank Investment Research) will take a closer look at the next big investment opportunities across the cannabis industry, examine what can be learned from other hyper growth industries, and put similar sectors under the microscope for comparison.
Following a 25 minute Networking Break and also on the ProCapital platform, will be two back-to-back company presentations and interviews hosted by Jay Rosenthal, co-founder and president of Business of Cannabis, followed by question and answer sessions.
The first at 17.10pm (BST) will see Toby Gordon-Smith, the CEO of CBD and botanical products firm Grass and Co, delving deeper into his business.

The panel will see Steven Hawkins (president and CEO of the US Cannabis Council), Jeremy Berke (senior reporter at Insider Inc) and Rob Sechrist (president of Pelorus Equity Group) delving deeper into America’s SAFE act and how banking can support the growth of the cannabis industry from start-up to MSO. The panel will also look at the more uncommon routes to raising business funds.
With more and more celebrity-backed companies and products entering the cannabis market, Javier Hasse (CEO and co-founder of El Planteo) and Steve Allan (chief executive of The Parent Company) will explore how brands can maintain their integrity and avoid giving the impression of merely jumping on the bandwagon. They will take a look at what works well, what doesn’t and whether we can expect more celebrity cannabis brands to hit the market.
Prohibition Partners’ Stephen Murphy will then officially bring the conference to a close at 19.30pm (BST), with the chance to take part in an End of Day Three Networking Event between 19:40pm – 21:00pm (BST).
