OVER the next three days, Prohibition Partners LIVE features a packed programme of discussion and debate featuring some of the global cannabis industry’s most informed leaders and opinion-makers. 

The focus for Day Two is Policy and Reform, beginning at 12:50pm (BST).

Our first session of the day at 12:50pm (BST) will be Cannabis Europa 2021 – The Return of Events. What might the next series of industry events look like and who will be able to attend?

This will feature Matt Freemantle, Event & Programme Director at Prohibition Partners LIVE, Stephen Murphy, Co-Founder & CEO and Jon Hogg, Managing Director of Prohibition Partners.

Starting at 13.30pm (BST) –  The Medical Cannabis Conundrum in Europe sees host Alfredo Pascual, Vice President of Investment Analysis, Fast Forward Innovations in discussion with Tjalling Erkelens, CEO & Chairman  of Bedrocan, and Alex Agius Saliba Member of European Parliament from Malta.

With exports across the continent at an all time high, what are the opportunities and challenges for producers, suppliers and distributors alike?

 

What practical steps can be taken by the UK government towards genuine change in ensuring cannabis medicines are delivered effectively.

Finally on the Cannabis Europa stage at 15.15pm (BST) is the following; The Future for Social Equity and Social Justice in Europe. This will explore how a legal market across Europe could look with a socially-focused approach.  This will be hosted by journalist Sunny Hundal, of the The Guardian & The Independent.

Panelists include; Al Harrington Chief Executive Officer, Viola,  Niamh Eastwood, Executive Director, Release, Aras Azadian, Chief Executive Officer, Avicanna and Cyrus Engerer Member of the European Parliament for Malta European Parliament.

This is an introduction to the pioneers pushing the boundaries to create a sustainable and environmentally-friendly industry. It will be hosted by Barbara Pastori, Consulting Services Director, Prohibition Partners, Carlos Perea, CEO & Co-Founder, Terra Vera, Shawn Cooney, Partner, Corner Stalk Farm and Derek Smith, Executive Director, Resource Innovation Institute.

After a networking break we will start back at 17:15pm (BST) with Legal vs Illegal: Are We Approaching the End of Prohibition?  It features Emily Galvin Almanza, Founder and Co-Executive Director, Partners For Justice, Axel Bernabe, Assistant Counsel to New York State Governor Cuomo, Shaleen Title, Distinguished Practitioner in Residence, The Ohio State University College of Law Drug Enforcement and Policy Center, Kelly McMillin, Chief Compliance Officer, Lowell Farms and will be hosted by Yeji Jesse Lee, Journalist, Business Insider.

The Big Cannabis Job Boom 2021 is next up at 18:00pm (BST). With over 300,000 jobs created across cannabis already, the industry’s economic footprint  continues to expand in North America. This will be hosted by Andrew Ward, Journalist & Author with High Times, Christine De La Rosa MA, CEO & Co-Founder with The People’s Dispensary and Coree Schmitz, Chief of Staff at Vangst.

Starting at 18.45pm our session The Other Side of the Glass Ceiling: Female Business Leaders in Cannabis. It looks at what can other genders do to support equality and fairness of opportunities in the cannabis industry and features women who have smashed through the glass ceiling.

Speakers will include; Jane West, founder and CEO of Jane West, the largest female owned cannabis brand in the world. Kyra Reed, Founder, Women Empowered In Cannabis, Hope Wiseman, CEO, Mary and Main, Chelsey Joseph, CEO, [WHT LBL] and Anna Kaplan, Co-Founder & CEO, SugarTop Buddery.

The day will finish with networking at 18.45pm (BST) and, for those with a VIP Pass an opportunity to network with some of the speakers, partners and fellow VIP’s from day two of Prohibition Partners LIVE, 2021.
