Albert Tio

President, Federation of Self-Regulated Cannabis Associations of Catalonia

Albert is the Founder of Airam (Associació Independent Recreativa d’Autoconsum i Medicinal); one of the first cannabis clubs in Barcelona, and President of Fedcac, one of two Catalan federations of consumer associations. Persecuted and intervened on six occasions, intervention resulted in six trials, three of which ended with prison terms and million dollar fines for those involved. Albert has started a model of social and cultural activities pushing towards political changes such as the Catalan law, approved by Catalan Parliament in 2017.
